BERKELEY, Calif.  – PBA Galleries‘ June 1 Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror auction topped $500,000. The auction featured more than 400 lots of books from the three genres named in the title, including signed and inscribed copies of major works by Stephen King, Philip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov, Octavia Butler, Frank Herbert, Ray Bradbury and Robert Heinlein.

Field Museum unleashes 46ft predatory Spinosaurus in new exhibit

CHICAGO (AP) – The newest addition to the Field Museum on Chicago’s lakefront will give visitors a glimpse of the largest predatory dinosaur yet discovered via a 46-foot (14.02-meter) cast of a Spinosaurus skeleton suspended high above the museum’s main hall. Field Museum officials unveiled the cast with its distinctive fin and crocodile-like jaws on June 2. It will be available for visitors starting June 10.

NEW YORK — Automobile racing enthusiasts are spoiled for choice nowadays, able to cheer their favorite drivers on in person or from the comforts of home.
