WATCH HILL, R.I. – Ocean House paid homage to the beloved illustrator and author Ludwig Bemelmans on the 125th anniversary of his April 27, 1898 birthday with the addition of the Bemelmans Gallery and Bemelmans Suite to the luxury beachfront hotel located near Newport, Rhode Island.

BERKELEY, Calif. – On Thursday, November 3, PBA Galleries will host an auction with nearly 450 lots of illustrated books, children’s books, posters and works of graphic design, books on food and drink, and a wide selection of golf titles. Featured are examples from the golden age of illustration; posters from the 1890s to the 1960s, with more recent work by David Lance Goines; a large selection of cocktail manuals; and for those who take their potations at the 19th hole, golf. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.
