Lightner Museum unveils spring 2022 schedule

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The Lightner Museum will welcome visitors this spring with two new exhibitions that open on April 1 and continue through December 31. Museum members and St. Augustine residents may preview the exhibitions at a free Community Open House on April 1 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Eastern time.

Lightner Museum’s fall 2021 exhibitions include American art

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The Lightner Museum will welcome visitors this fall with several new exhibitions highlighting a diverse range of art, including a reinstallation of late-19th and early 20th century American paintings and sculpture from the museum’s permanent collection, a photography exhibition by Tom Schifanella focused on the historic motion picture magazine fragments left behind by staff at the Alcazar Hotel, and a presentation of the work of contemporary painter, Ericka Sobrack.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The inaugural Lightner Local exhibition at the Lightner Museum in St Augustine will present Antwan Ramar: Contemporary Impressions. In his work, Ramar brings a contemporary vision to landscape painting while embracing historic traditions and techniques. Presenting his plein air studies alongside larger studio works, Ramar’s exhibition at the Lightner explores his process of art making from field study to final painting.
