NEW YORK – Capsule Auctions‘ April 28 auction, titled Vistas: American and European Art, was a success. The sale consisted of slightly more than 200 lots and included works from the collection of Seymour Stein. The top lot of the sale was Reginald Arthur’s operatic work from 1895, Joseph Interpreting Pharaoh’s Dream, from the Seymour Stein collection. The Egyptian Revival oil on canvas, accompanied by a massive and ornate gilt frame, sold for $58,500.
