Auction Auction a pleasure to do business with

I purchase over $6, 000 in LV bags and they were all folded and wadded together. The pictures were not exactly accurate and they informed me they used pictures the seller provided, not that they had taken. So buyer beware. There is not guarantee of condition and they are not going to make sure things stay in the same condition as pictured. They do not use the stand live auctioneers system for payment. You must write down your invoice number, go to their website, then enter all your personal credit card info. PayPal or other systems is not available.

I love the item purchased and the customer care is great. But the photos and description were not clear or accurate enough and hid a lot of the aging and damage to the item, so about the condition of the bow and arrows. The Bow is very old 1840's and had a quite a big separation of the sinew binding to the wooden handle in the middle section of the bow, but this was not mentioned or could be seen in the pictures. Other things and loose sinew could be vaguely seen only after having looked carefully at the pictures with the bow in my presence. This would not have bought the bow if I knew beforehand about this damage. I am not sure if it was there before. The quiver is in excellent conditon. But the arrows had one with a loose flint sinew binding, but the rest of the arrows are in beautiful with iron tips and fealther fletchings. Overall I feel blessed but unhappy with the large sinew gap in the middle of the bow separation. I was also not happy with the UPS store who packed in the item without due care in a tight cylinder tube with might have contributed to the damage in the post. It should have been flat packed liike bows are packed with double fragile packing as specified. Maybe the auction house could have made a special foam packaging for it when they stored it, like you get when you receive modern packaged appliances. I spent a over 850 dollars with the post and packaging with was a let down. Maybe Fedex would have done a better job. You need to be so clear with the auction house and postage packers to ensure your item arrives as bought. So planning is vital and crucial. Overall it was a smooth process and the Auction house provided an age verification certificate for customs with save 20 % of the customs duty import but I still paid UK VAT at a 5 % reduced rate. So for global buyers check your import duty and VAT before you buy to get a rough idea of your total cost including the Auction house buyer fee percentage. It can be an expensive process for global buyers

Love this display case. It's gorgeous. Had a little chip on the edge. Drawers work great. Just Beautiful. I wished they had a couple more photos for every lot to show details. Pick up was easy and quick. Didn't have to do anything. They had a staff that lifted this into the back of my pickup, wrapped with plastic, drawers in all. Their location was easy to get to on the west/north side of Austin. Very little Austin traffic to go through to get it. Definitely will purchase again. Only other thing I hate is their high Buyer's premium, it is on the edge of rediculous.

To address other reviews complaining about condition, it is always good practice to ask for condition reports. Whenever I have requested condition reports from them, they have always responded quickly and provided very detailed information.
