Description
A Neolithic 'Face' Tripod Vessel and Han Dynasty Pottery Camel. The pottery vessel raised on three tall bulbous legs, molded with twist-rope designs, the loop handle opposing a face pierced with two apertures, with traces of red pigments; together with a cream-glazed pottery figure of camel on a rectangular base. Probably Qijia culture (2200ñ1600 B.C.) and Han dynasty (206 B.C.ñ220 A.D.). {The camel: 12 3/4 high x 5 3/4 wide x 10 1/2 inches long (32.3 x 14.6 x 26.6 cm)}. Provenance: Property from the Richard I. Stone Estate.
