Pair of Russian Silver-Gilt and Cloisonné Enamel Small Kovshi and Spoons
Maria Semenova, Moscow, 1899-1908
Each of typical form, with pointed prow and hook handle, enameled with varicolored shaded scrolling foliage on a gilt-stippled ground, the handle with a turquoise pellet border, the spoons with pear-shaped bowls and faceted handles, similarly decorated; in a Tiffany & Co. fitted case. Length of kovshi 3 1/8 inches (7.94 cm).

In good condition. One kovsh with small loss to enamel flower on one side; light surface wear. Both kovshi scratched with inventory number 1203. The box worn, consistent with age and use.
