Tekke torba, 6-guls, Turkmenistan, mid-19th century.The tuning-fork border, crested bird heads, crisp drawing, and small blue-green blossoms appearing as amulets throughout the field offer nice surprises in this old Tekke 6-gul torba. The guls are large and well-spaced and the row of spare kochak elements along one end panel add a nice finish. Size: 3'7'' x 1'4'' (109 x 41 cm). Weight: 2 lbs. Material: wool pile, wool warp, wool weft.
