Description
French Renaissance Revival walnut huntboard with majolica embellishment, late 19th century, having a crest centering a monogrammed cabochon flanked by bellflower drops and foliate scrolls, over a D-shaped shelf supported by scrolling corbels, above a panel framing a large majolica plaque depicting a bacchanalian fete, resting on a D-shaped buffet having two projecting drawers flanked by majolica panels with the head of a maenad left and head of a satyr right, continuing out to pivoting drawers supported by corbels, over four doors having high relief carvings of lion masks and fruit on the center doors, and fruit and ribbon bows on the outer doors, opening to adjustable shelves, the whole resting on a molded plinth base, 87"h x 94"w x 25.75"d.
