NORTHEASTERN STONEWARE INKSTANDS, LOT OF THREE, salt-glazed, each of circular form with central ink reservoir, comprising two examples having carved scalloped rim and base edges with two quill holes including one having ten scallops to top and one with twelve, and an example with six impressed rosettes and three quill holes. First half 19th century. 1 1/4" H, 2 3/4" D rim to 1 1/2" H, 3 1/4" D rim.
Ten scallop example mostly undamaged having minor flake to top edge; twelve scallop example having some radial hairlines including one extending from base to top, minor chip to top edge, and some ink staining; rosette example having some chips to foot edge.
