Condition report:

vellum with patina and surface soiling commensurate with age, and with possible post-production surface treatment, including to bottom shelf; copper is bright overall, with possible polishing in the past; one copper corner element to top detached but present, another copper corner element missing; evidence of later nail reinforcement to another copper corner element, which is slightly loose; tassels with some losses commensurate with age and fragility of fibers, some tassels are detached but present; lower shelf is loose, and with slight warping- evidence of former attachment with nails.
