A stag-antler kiseruzutsu
Attributed to Ozaki Kokusai, Shiba, Tokyo, late 19th century
Of slightly curved otoshi-zutsu form, carved in relief with Buddhist symbols on variously shaped panels, the reverse similarly carved with similar symbols and formal flowerheads in clouds; unsigned.
20cm (7 7/8in).

Including but not limited to the following:

Slight wear consistent with handling. Dark burn mark to one edge. Old chips all along the rim of the case. Several vertical hairline age cracks running down the front of the case and the side, the longest of approx. 7cm. Otherwise in good condition.
