JOHN ROGERS (AMERICAN 1829-1904) PAINTED PLASTER FIGURAL GROUPING, H 20", W 12", D 9", "THE SCHOOL EXAMINATION" Depicting two teachers testing a young student. Signed in the front right of the base. "Patented July 9th 1867" on the back of the base.

Condition

Repainted. Two chips to the back of the dress of the female teacher. Chip to the back of the male teacher's coat. Left arm of the student is cracked below the elbow. See additional photos.
