The wonderful Kambaba jasper, or Crocodile jasper of Madagascar, is a sedimentary fossil comprised of billions of years-old stromatolite (fossilized algae). Its common name is immediately evoked by the wonderful green scaly appearance, as galactic orbicles of black float across a bubbling "ocean" of swirling green shades, brought to a gleaming polished finish. It measures 7 1/4 inches in diameter.
