Description
A pair of Celtic silver coins, Iceni & Durotriges. Lot includes an Iceni Quinarius or Unit, c. AD 40 - 61, with double crescent emblem and a horse on reverse. (12 mm, 0.89g). Also included a ¼ Stater from the Durotriges, c. 50 - 30 BC, with abstracted head of Herakles and styled seated Zeus, derived from Macedonian issues. (12.5 mm, 0.53g). Both are in nice condition! Ex Los Angeles private collection.
