Description
DUTCH DELFT TIN-GLAZED EARTHENWARE PLAQUES, LOT OF THREE, each of oval form having two holes for hanging, with blue hand-painted scenes, comprising two examples featuring windmills adjacent to water, one vertical and one horizontal, and one example depicting charming homes beside water with a bridge. Each having Makkum hand-brushed mark to back including one with "HOLLAND". Royal Tichelaar Makkum, Makkum, Netherlands. Late 19th/first half 20th century. 15 3/8" x 12 3/4" to 15 3/4" x 13 1/8".

Each having imperfections including two with chips to back edge and scattered glaze flakes with some characteristic glaze crazing; horizontal example with some scattered yellowing restoration to edges.
