ENGLISH STERLING SILVER OPEN SALTS AND SALT SPOON, LOT OF EIGHT, comprising a pair of pedestal open salts and a salt spoon by Matthew John Jessop of Birmingham with 1902 date marks, a pair of round open salts by Atkin Brothers of Sheffield with 1899 date marks having scalloped rims and spherical feet, a pair of open salts by George Unite & Sons of Birmingham with 1905 date marks, curved feet, and personalized engravings to sides, and an open salt with worn maker's mark from Chester having 1895 date mark, lobed well, spherical feet, and a cobalt blue glass liner. Each with maker's mark and three English hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling fineness, a city mark, and a date mark. Total weight excluding liner: 6.140 ozt. Together with an unmarked silver open salt having center set with a British Anna Dei Gratia 1712 coin, rim with words, repousse decoration to sides, and a gold-washed interior, unknown silver fineness, total weight of 0.860 ozt. Nine pieces total. Late 19th/early 20th century. Open salts 1 1/8" to 1 5/8" HOA.

Mostly in very good overall condition with minor to moderate wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including slight bending, dents, nicks, interior residue, and/or worn spots to decoration; two with adhered labels to bases.
