From ancient Egypt, 26th to 30th Dynasties, Ca 664 to 525 BC. A large cast bronze head of an ibis, from a very large figure, sacred to the god Thoth; with long tapered beak and recessed eyes. Deep brown/black patina. Head itself measures 5"L". Old custom stand.
