Wrought by Mary Stokes, Dated 1816
the text reads: Tis religion that can give sweetest pleasures while we live tis religion must supply solid comforts when we die / After death , its joys will be, lasting as eternity, If the Saviour be our friend, Then our bliss shall never end / Lord what is my Trust in this Life's or what is my greatest comfort of all things under Heaven / Man pass a way but the word of the Lord remaineth for ever / I have none to trust in none that can help me in my necessities but Thee alone my God.
