Description
Five-piece English Georgian era sterling silver tea / coffee set features coffee pot, tea pot, creamer, sugar bowl, and footed salver. Each item features chased details with scrolled floral or stylized borders and boar's head crests associated to the historic MacKinnon clan (also known as McKinnon, Mackinnon, or Clan Fingon) Scotland. Tea and coffee pot with ornate fruitwood handles. Manufactured by John Emes, London between 1800 and 1801 according to markings. Items feature normal light signs of wear associated with age, altogether excellent considering age. Largest piece (coffee pot) 8.5" inches height, 7.75" width at widest point (edge of handle to tip of spout). Smallest piece (creamer) 3.5" height x 5.75" width at widest point (edge of handle to tip of spout). Total weight to all pieces (including wooden elements) 51.52 troy oz. Low estimate: $1200.
