Includes: (1) Indenture Deed, dated 1725; signed John Matthison (signed with his mark) and Sarah his wife to Mary Hampton, mentions 50 acres, payment of 2000 pounds of tobacco, mentions "Goulds Delight", stained, folded, good, hard to read; (1) Title to 50 acres of land, part of "Goulds Delight", John Matthison and Sarah his wife convey to Mary Hampton, dated Feb. 23, 1725; very good, folded; (1) printed bond, J. Ebenezer Haney of Worcester Co. bond unto Robert Haney 300 pounds to be paid 30th of June 1777, 50 pounds on demand, 150 to be paid July 1st 1779, paid in full August 13, 1779; one page pre-printed obligation form filled in hand written, signed and witnessed; fair condition with folds, tears, rough edges; (1) Indenture Deed, made June 9, 1788 between Robert Parsons of Sussex Co. DE to John Nolon, Noah Nolon and Peter Nolan, three parcels known as "Fatums Habitation" 40 acres, in Somerset Co, patented to John Falern "Swans Luck" j50 acres patented to Catherine Care (?), "Plumpton Salt Ash" 10 acres; poor to good, folded with tears; (1) Indenture Deed to John Byrd, Archibald Smith and wife Esther of Somerset Co., relinquish all rights willingly for sum of 660 pounds two tracts from the heir of Thomas Cox - 200 acres and 50 acres, dated 1797; in pieces, some writing missing; (1) certified copy dated 1876 with seal - Indenture deed 1750 Somerset Co between Joseph Gilliss and Nehemiah Hitch(?) for seventeen pounds ten shillings 229 acres; two pages, very good condition; (1) copy dated 1876, Somerset County; will of Col. Levin Gale dated Feb. 16, 1742 (born 1706 Tusculum Plantation Somerset Co. MD), two parcels of land mentioned, 1-brother Matt Gale, 1-Day Scott; 20 pounds distributed by brothers to poor widows in Somerset Co., remainder of estate to daughter Leah Gale, suits of mourning to be divided among three brothers, assign guardianship of daughter to three brothers; May 3, 1774 brother George Gale renounces his executorship (given to all three brothers); copy has county seal and in very good condition, clipping attached mentioning that Gale was step-grandfather to George Washington; (1) copy of Indenture Deed, filed 1877; originally dated 1780 between George Gale and Joseph Gilliss, 300 acres paid 20 pounds 10 shillings; two pages, very good condition; documents have age appropriate wear and hand written notations, etc.
