OUTSTANDING PAIR OF HOODED MERGANSERS by George Strunk, Glendora, NJ. Excellent original paint and condition. True pair with raised carved wing tips and fluted tail carving. The hen with detailed painted feather work overall. The drake with fine painted feather detail overall and intricate comb painting to the sides. Both heads just slightly turned. Both with detailed bill carving and glass eyes. Overall length of the drake is approximately 13 1/2 inches. The hen is approximately 13 inches. Both retain pad weights stamped STRUNK. Both signed by maker. An outstanding pair. 700-900
