Two volumes of Langley's San Francisco Directory for 1879-1880 and 1880-1881. The 1880-81 volume has a large color-printed Guide Map of the City of San Francisco included opposite the title page. Both volumes include a Progress of the City report and a street guide preceding the main directory. The directories alphabetically list residents, their occupations, and their addresses. There are also classified business directories in both volumes. Appendices include information about the municipal government, police and fire departments, courts, churches, societies, military, etc. Business advertisements included on the cover and throughout both volumes. 9 x 6, good condition.
