ENGLISH FIGURAL STORK STERLING SILVER UMBILICAL CORD CLAMP / SCISSORS, figural stork with one interior shank featuring a swaddled baby, round handles with feet including one in the form of a lizard or serpent. Side edge of one handle impressed with maker's mark for Asprey & Co. Ltd. alongside three English hallmarks of an anchor city mark for Birmingham, a lion passant for sterling fineness, and a "z" date mark for 1924. Total weight: 1.500 ozt. Circa 1924. 4 1/4" L.
Provenance: From a Virginia private collection.

Condition

Very good overall condition with minor wear and surface scratches, a few minute nicks.
