Grouping of identified United States World War I medals including 1.) WWI Victory medal with CAMBRAI, SOMME,DEFENSIVE, ST. MIHIEL, MEUSE-ARGONNE, and DEFENSIVE SECTOR bars. Medal presents full wrap brooch and has been re-ribboned. 2.) WWI state medal issued by New York state. Medal exhibits wear/fraying to ribbon. 3.) Sterling silver medal for service in the World War with reverse engraved "PRESENTED TO LOUIS J. BREITER, CORP. 11TH U.S. ENGINEERS BY THE BRONXVILLE ENGINE & HOSE CO. NO. 1". Medal ribbon exhibits significant degradation and loss. 4.) American Legion medal for the Leonard S. Morange Post No. 464 with reverse engraved "L.J. BREITER 50-YEAR CHARTER MEMBER NOVEMBER 11, 1969". 5.) WWI dog tag stamped "LOUIS J. BREITER USA" on obverse and "160571" on reverse. 6.) WWI collar disc for Company F, engineers. Disc lacks locking nut on reverse. 7.) Pair of American Legion lapel studs. Provenance: Stanley Bright collection.
