Description
Southeast Asia, Thailand, Sawankhalok or Sukhothai, ca. 15th century CE. A series of 4 upward-arching handles sit along the shoulder edge, while a creamy, white slip envelops the upper 3-quarters of the body. Note the rich marine encrustations that naturally embellish the surface - a wonderful result of centuries spent on the ocean floor! Size: 7.1" Diameter x 11.2" H (18 cm x 28.4 cm)
