Notes: "Rosenborg" most likely refers to Rosenborg Castle. Originally built in 1606 as a country retreat for Danish King Christian IV, it today stands less than two miles from downtown Copenhagen's central railway station.

Condition
Visual: Generally good condition. The canvas is slightly loose. Scattered craquelure. Stretcher bar creases showing slightly along the vertical edges, with attendant, very slight, vertical surface scuffs in the varnish layer at left and right, visible mostly in raking light. An unobtrusive, pinhead-size pigment loss at the upper left, and approximately seven more near the lower left corner.
Blacklight: Apparently no restoration under blacklight. Difficult to read under varnish.
