AN UNUSUAL 19TH CENTURY DOUBLE FUSEE CUCKOO CLOCK the mahogany case surmounted by a carved leafwork pediment with automaton cuckoo bird above a moulded surround enclosing a 9" painted tin dial with attached enamel Roman numerals fronting an eight-day double fusee movement with wooden plates and hour strike. (34cm wide)
Condition
The clock is in very original unrestored condition. The case is dirty but in good condition with no breaks or losses. The carved pediment is missing the hinged door to the cuckoo aperture, the dial is dirt with minor losses to the paint, the enamel numeral eleven is detached but present, hand look original, the movement is complete but very dirty and is missing the pendulum, the left side bellows are badly damage.
