AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY FIGURED WALNUT PROVINCIAL EIGHT-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the 12" square brass dial with engraved edge and crown and cherub spandrels enclosing a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and outer minute markers, matted leaf engraved centre, ringed winding holes, engraved date aperture and seconds dial fronting an eight-day five pillar latched movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike. The provincial case with geometric boxwood stringing, D mouldings and pine carcass. (207cm high )
