Vignetta silografica al frontespizio con due cavalli che ergono uno stemma araldico davanti ad un vitigno con al centro il sole, Capilettera istoriate in legno. Firma di antico possessore al frontespizio. Bell'esemplare genuino internamente, alcune lievi spellature ai piatti, mancanza alla cuffia superiore e più piccola a quella inferiore.Primasio, morto intorno al 560, fu vescovo di Hadrumetum e primate di Byzacena, in Africa. Fu uno dei partecipanti alla controversia dei tre capitoli; il suo commento al Libro dell'Apocalisse è di interesse per gli studiosi moderni per il suo uso del commento perduto di Ticonio sullo stesso libro del Nuovo Testamento. Secondo M.L.W. Laistner, tra i suoi discepoli c'era il teologo africano Junillus. Leaves 258. Woodcut vignettes on the title page with two horses erecting a coat of arms in front of a vine with the sun in the center, historiated initial. Signature of the old owner on the title page. Nice unsophisticated specimen internally, some slight peeling to the covers, loss in the upper spine-ends and minor loss in the lower one.
Primasio, who died around 560, was a bishop of Hadrumetum and a primate of Byzacena, in Africa. He was one of the participants in the controversy of the three capitals; His commentary on the Book of Revelation is of interest to modern studies for his use of Tyonius' lost commentary on his New Testament book. According to M.L.W. Laistner, among his disciples was the African theologian Junillus. The commentary on the Pauline epistles and on the Hebrews attributed by Migne to Primasio is spurious.
