A BLUE AND WHITE 'CRANES' VASE, 1900s
China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Rising from a short foot to a waisted center piece, with a stylized bamboo neck and garlic head mouth, depicting six cranes in flight amid ruyi shaped clouds, a yin-yang symbol to the neck. The recessed base with an apocryphal four-character Tang Dynasty mark.
Provenance: German private collection.
Condition: Good condition, the mouth with two repaired breakages, touchups, and manufacturing flaws, such as dark spots.
