銅胎，胎質細密，鍍金亮澤。壺直口，溜肩，橢圓形鼓腹，橢圓形足。通體施白釉，釉色潔白細膩，溫潤淡雅。口沿處施黃釉，其上以紅、藍、綠彩勾勒草葉紋，下承蓮瓣紋一周，蓮瓣凸起富有立體感。腹部於白地上以各式彩釉繪通景花蝶圖，一面有紅、黃菊花盛綻，一株鳶尾花橫逸其間，側邊藤蔓纏繞，結有兩葫蘆；延伸至另面百合花飄逸搖盪，嬌紅的玫瑰盛開，嫩葉點綴襯托，紫色雛菊穿插，畫面繽紛熱鬧。空中數隻蝴蝶翩翩飛舞，為清雅秀麗的美景增添生機與活力。底於綠地書墨彩「乾隆年製」雙行四字篆書款。整體繪工精緻，線條勾勒纖細，色彩飽滿且有漸層變化，增添景物立體感，自然美景凝聚在寸天厘地間，賞心悅目，令人不忍釋手。
銅胎畫琺瑯，又稱「琺瑯畫」。至遲在康熙三十年宮內已試燒成功，康熙五十七年武英殿琺瑯作歸屬養心殿造辦處前後為此技術成熟的精製階段，充分顯示出畫琺瑯器薄、平、光、豔、雅的特性。雍正、乾隆時期的琺瑯器，除繼承康熙時期以黃色或白色等琺瑯料做圖案地色，並推陳出新，器型種類增多，除碗、盤外，常見香盒、花瓶、鼻煙壺等生活用品。乾隆時期畫琺瑯的裝飾工藝趨向稠密堆砌式，且紋飾題材豐富，纏枝花、折枝花、四季花卉、鳥蟲異獸和幾何圖案等。畫面處理多採渲染法，增加層次感和立體效果。清宮舊藏，北京故宮博物院庋藏清乾隆〈畫琺瑯花蝶圖煙壺〉，其造形、紋飾與本品幾乎相似，應屬同一畫稿，圖案嚴謹工整，畫工精美細緻，釉色溫潤細膩，可資比對參考。拍場相似之例可參見拍賣於香港蘇富比2015年5月31日，編號188，清乾隆〈銅胎北京畫琺瑯花蝶圖鼻煙壺〉，與本品皆展現出清代琺瑯工藝之純熟精湛。

Linda Riddell Hoffman（1923－2009）是一位充滿魅力的優雅女士，不僅天姿國色，對生活更充滿積極向上的態度與冒險精神。婚後，定居於波特蘭，並投身眾多活動與團體，曾擔任波特蘭歌劇協會主席，任職於希望之城癌症中心、波特蘭房屋建造協會。在此期間，Linda 對亞洲藝術產生濃厚興趣。於眾多藝術收藏中，尤為熱愛鼻煙壺，更與 Bob C. Stevens、Russell Mullin、Lilla S. Perry 等人齊名，成為當時美國西岸藝術收藏前線的重要人物。1968年，Linda 為促使「第一屆全美鼻煙壺收藏家研討會」在波特蘭舉辦的關鍵性人物，當時組辦會議的核心成員包含 Donald Jenkins、Hugh Moss 等人，是次會議吸引歐美各地眾多鼻煙壺愛好者不遠千里前往參加，成為「美國中國鼻煙壺協會」（「國際中國鼻煙壺協會」前身）的重要奠基石。隔年，Linda 的部分重要鼻煙壺珍藏在紐約「美國中國鼻煙壺協會年會」展出。此外，Linda 亦是波特蘭亞洲藝術委員會之創辦人及董事會成員。晚年，Linda 移居至加州，度過她輝煌的中國鼻煙壺收藏生涯直至耄耋之年。豐富的鼻煙壺藏品陳列在白色櫥櫃中，每件珍品都傾注其滿腔熱情與對亞洲藝術無盡的熱愛。本次「極可愛翫」專場，便有多件鼻煙壺珍品出自 Linda 收藏，不僅令人一睹其收藏之精妙，更是專場藏家與其情誼之見證。
