Julius Paul Junghans 1876 Vienna - 1958 Duesseldorf 1895 training as a lithographer in Dresden; began his studies at the Dresden Art Academy in 1896; 1899-1904 continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Heinrich von Zuegel; In 1904, at the suggestion of Zuegel, he became head of the master class for animal and open-air painting at the Duesseldorf Art Academy in the winter semester; became a professor there two years later; regularly took part in the Great German Art Exhibition.
