NORTH CAROLINA FOLK ART TOBACCO LEAF CARVED BIRD'S-EYE MAPLE CANE / WALKING STICK, shaft featuring three sections of carved tobacco leaves in differing configurations and sizes, comprising approximately 110 separate leaves area below grip and lower half with incised swirl ground. Retains an absolutely outstanding dry, original surface, the background having a black surface contrasting with the natural-color grip and relief carving. Second half 19th century. 38" L.
