A Chinese silver covered vase with Ming jade, dating from the 19th century. Four spade shaped panels adorn the vase, each with inset Ming jade design with chi dragon motif, surrounded by multiple inlaid stones of coral & turquoise. Splayed recessed base and bulbous body with rounded rim. Raised silver dragon creatures above the foot, silver tiger like creature around the neck all in high relief, cover carved with auspicious cloud and lotus pattern with a rounded Chi dragon finial in open work.

Condition: good condition overall with just some surface wear to the silver, an a few missing small stones from the panels. natural fissure and inclusion to the jade piece
