Description
Native American, Southwestern United States, New Mexico, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), Tularosa type, ca. 1100 to 1250 CE. A lovely pottery olla of slightly compressed spherical form shaped via the traditional coil-and-scrape technique with a round but stable base, a sloped shoulder, and a thick neck. The gray-white exterior surfaces are densely adorned with black pigment that forms several registers of both solid and striped zigzags, and the neck bears 4 rectangular panels of spiraling steps. Size: 8" Diameter x 7.2" H (20.3 cm x 18.3 cm)

Condition
Professional repair and restoration with resurfacing and overpainting along new material and break lines. Light abrasions and fading to black pigment, with chips to rim and body, and light abrasions. Nice preservation to painted decorations.
