A Victorian needlework sampler A Victorian needlework sampler, by Harriett Moore, Aged 12 Years, 1871, depicting a poem reading 'Jesus permit thy gracious name..', above scene depicting Adam and Eve under the Tree of Knowledge, above stylised trees, birds, cats and a figure holding a carrying pole with buckets, 31.5cm x 38cm together with another similar example, by Sarah Howe, aged 7 Years, the central poem surrounded by birds and flowers in pots, to a stylised floral border, 32.5cm x 33cm (2) Condition Report: Harriet Moore example) Holes throughout, particularly to the left side.
