Description
(1889 – 1946) Nazi Minister of Justice, made penal prosecution of all unpopular persons and groups harsher, with ‘antisocial’ convicts turned over to the SS. War-date D.S., 1p. 10 x 12 in., Fuhrer Headquarters, Aug. 26, 1944, an official retirement statement, in part: ‘On behalf of the German people I retire the first public prosecutor, Dr. Otto Vossen, at his request. I express my gratitude to him for his faithful service to the German people.’ The top of the document features a gilt national eagle. Thierack signs at the bottom right in blue ink, below the facsimile signature of Hitler and to the right of an embossed Nazi seal. Three horizontal folds and a paperclip imprint at the top and bottom left, else fine.
