Description
Group to feature six individual paper documents, with original Civil War related items pertaining to Henry Fraley (66th O.V.I.) and 30th Illinois Volunteers, including;

Four-sided hand written document on folded single sheet of ruled paper containing Congress blind stamp, listing the estimates of clothing and equipage issued to Company K, 66th Regiment, Ohio Volunteers Infantry, for the month of May, 1865; condition good to very good with age toning to paper, creasing from folding, some foxing and mild surface distress, of strong integrity with no significant damage, overall 15.5" x 10" inches.

Single-page hand written document (ink) on ruled paper with Congress blind stamp, front and back sides used, containing a list of ordnance goods (and stores) near Louisville, KY, received by Captain Henry Fraley from Captain Robert Simpson under orders from John G. Mitchell (1838-1894), Company H, 66th Ohio Volunteers Infantry, dated 24 June, 1865, signed by Robert Simpson. 8" x 10" inches, condition very good with mild toning to paper, creasing from folding, with strong integrity and no additional damage.

Single-page printed and written document, partially complete, containing a list of clothing, camp and garrison equipage delivered to Captain F.G. Burnett by 1st Lieutenant George C. Lockwood, 30th Regiment, Illinois Volunteers at Jackson, Tennessee, up to the 30th of June, 1862, with signatures of Lockwood and Burnett. 8" x 13" inches, very good condition with mild age toning to paper, creases from folding, of strong integrity with no significant damage.

Printed and signed Merchant's National Bank check, Harrisburg PA, printing personalized to Henry Fraley China, Glass and Oils (Fraley W.H. & Co.), signed by Henry Fraley, undated (blank, 1890's). 9" x 3" inches, good condition with mild surface wear.

Two documents associated with the Willey family of Ashtabula, Ohio, including 19th century (undated) written record of family births and deaths, and sealed cemetery deed pertaining to Mrs. Fanny M. Willey, dated 1910.

NOTE: The association between Henry Fraley and the Willey family is unclear, although the documents were passed down together and are being offered, as found, within five individual lots (please see lots #187-#191). Henry Fraley (born circa 1839 or 1840, Cumberland Co, Pennsylvania) occupation listed as a farmer and later merchant, was enlisted on 5th November, 1861, from Campaign County, Ohio, at Urbana, as a private of Company A, 66th Regiment, Ohio Volunteers Infantry under Captain Charles E. Fulton. After several promotions in rank, he was ultimately appointed Captain of Company H. on 14 June, 1865.
