Description
Elvis Presley 1970s White Concert Scarf From the Jimmy Velvet Collection W/COA - This is a white concert scarf was produced for use as a concert scarf for Elvis Presley in the 1970s. These scarves were the idea of Colonel Tom Parker, who had them printed up for use by Elvis and also for sale at concerts. The scarf is made of white nylon and has Elvis' facsimile signature in blue. Elvis wore these types of scarves on stage and would give them to members of the audience. Elvis Presley's practice of giving away scarves started in September, 1970 in Phoenix, Arizona. It is said that at that show, Presley gave his scarf to a young fan in the front row, and her elated reaction led to Presley continuing the practice. Tossing scarves to fans in the audience during his live performances in the 1970s became an Elvis trademark. This item originated from the Jimmy Velvet collection and comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Elvis Presley Museum signed by Jimmy Velvet. Measurements: 34" x 34".
