Description
**First Time At Auction**

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A delicate glass flask formed from translucent glass in attractive yellow-green hues. The vessel bears a relatively spherical body with a smooth pontil scar beneath the indented base, a tapered shoulder, and a flared neck with a rounded lip. The neck was first blown inside of a patterned mold to create a couple of encircling raised ribs, and then a single trail of glass was applied above to exemplify how similar textural results can be achieved via different decorative techniques. Size: 2.25" W x 3.5" H (5.7 cm x 8.9 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Virginia, USA collection, before 2000

All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
