Description
salt-glazed, "5" gallon capacity mark, ovoid form with squared rim, beaded neck ring, incised shoulder ring, applied arched handles, and Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt dropped flower and leaf decoration repeated twice on each side with additional cobalt below and at handle terminals. Possibly Henry or Richard Remmey, Philadelphia, PA. Circa 1875. 14 1/4" H, 8 7/8" D rim.

Excellent visual condition, one handle having professional restoration and other having two flakes to underside, and rim with minor flake.
