PROVENANCE:
From Private estate collections of Mrs. Ilene A. Champeau, (1943-present), For over 35 years, she shared her love of history as the owner of Victorian Lady Antiques.
Dimensions: 10.75"L x 4.5"H
Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Xuande blue and white friends in winter motif porcelain bowl. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, broad cavetto, with a straight opening lip, raised on a small round, with concave footing. All reserved in hand painting ornamentations, rendered in clean white under glazed ground color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The Exterior adorned with abundant flowers blooms, interspersed with foliage, sturdy branch, and the rocks. The porcelain displays a subtle sheen across the finely glazed exterior. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Xuande Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
