The auction featuring items from the Saul Brandman Foundation. Helmet mask in polychrome carved wood fabrication, made by the Kuba Tribe. Region of origin:Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa. This helmet mask has a bun on the top of the head in raffia fabrication, which is held on by metal wire. The face of this helmet mask has open slit eyes that arerecessed, raised cheek bones below the eyes, and an outward facing nose with open nostrils. The helmet mask itself measures sixteen inches tall by nine and one-quarter inches wide by eleven inches deep, and the ebony tone lacquered wooden standmeasures four and one-quarter inches tall by ten inches wide by ten inches deep.
