Wonderful set entirely in the spirit of romantic mythology in early 19th century France. The complete collection presented here was published between 1825 and 1826 in four deliveries. - Endpapers renewed. Browning and foxing throughout. One plate with small loss in the outer white margin, another with small waterstains in the white margin. Overall well preserved.

Nagler II, 2711. - Die Tafeln auf aufgewalztem China nach Originalzeichnungen von Anne-Louis Girodet-Trioson (1767-1824) von verschiedenen Künstlern lithographiert. Wunderbare Folge ganz im Sinne der romantischen Mythologie im Frankreich des frühen 19. Jahrhunderts. Die hier vollständig vorliegende Sammlung erschien zwischen 1825 und 1826 in vier Lieferungen. - Vorsätze erneuert. Durchgehend braun- bzw. stockfleckig. Eine Tafel mit kl. Fehlstelle im äußeren weißen Rand, eine weitere mit Wasserfleckchen im weißen Rand. Insgesamt wohl erhalten.
