Description
Circa 1790. Oil on canvas having been very nicely rendered featuring a gentleman in well appointed clothing looking onward. The piece has not been re lined. The backside has what looks to possibly be an artist monogram. The back showing signs of early conservation with wax in areas. Framed in mid 19th century gilt frame. H13 1/2" W10 1/2" (without frame) Sold from the Estate of Mr. Carl Freeman of Conway, South Carolina to benefit the Horry County Museum.The piece has two restored punctures one at top center and one at bottom center. This has been restored at an early point with what looks to be wax. Some slight in paint consistent with age.
