Condition
There is paper tape along all four extreme outer edges. Central horizontal stretcher mark visible, with two associated fine lines of hairline craquelure. One fine scratch (approx. 1cm) to the horizon in the lower left quadrant. One possible spot of retouching to the lower left quadrant. One tiny pinprick white accretion to the upper left corner. Some scattered fine horizontal lines of craquelure, with some very tiny spots of surface dirt visible.
Examination under Ultra-Violet light reveals a small spot of fluorescence to the aforementioned retouching.
Subject to the foregoing it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
