Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A dazzling gold hoop presenting as a thick band lined with decorative granules along one of its flared peripheries. The ancient adornment is corseted at the midsection and displays a petite, bifurcated loop protruding inward from the periphery opposite the granules. Size: 0.4" W x 1.1" H (1 cm x 2.8 cm); gold quality: 69% (equivalent to 16K+); weight: 4.6 grams
