Description
Kokusai school, Tokyo, Mid 19th century. The first, stag antler obihasami netsuke depicting a monster(squid?). Signed on the reverse, partly abraded. 4¼in (10.7cm). The second, of ivory, showing a combination of kamon, characters, and symbols. The reverse has an eight-petal hanabishi design. 1¾in (4.3cm). Provenance: The first, Purchased from Raymond Bushell 1957.
