2 Antique German Painted Porcelain Plaques. 1) After Alfred Seifert (German, 1850-1901), "Unter Rebenlaub" (Under the Vine Leaves), oval painted porcelain plaque, signed illegibly, titled verso and stamped: "Made in Germany." In an associated Italian metal frame. Size: 3.4'' x 2.75'', 9 x 7 cm (plaque); 5.25'' x 4'', 13 x 10 cm (frame); 2) Joseph Ahne (German, 1830-1909) after Pierre Mignard (French, 1635-1719) "Françoise d'Aubigné, Marquise de Maintenon," oval porcelain plaque, signed: "Ahne," verso inscribed: "Mme. Maintenon." Framed. Provenance: Ex collection of Dr. Horacio Fabrega, Pittsburgh, PA. Size: 3.5'' x 2.5'', 9 x 6 cm (plaque); 4.75'' x 3.25'', 12 x 8 cm (frame).
